    Pashan is one of the rapidly developing suburb area situated in the western parts of Pune. It is also one of the oldest locality of Pune. This locality has close proximity to the industrial zones, and the IT Hubs of Pune. It comes under the Jurisdiction of Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), and have all the civic amenities nearby. It is a part of Kothrud Vidhan Sabha Constituency. Nearby Pashan localities include many famous areas of the city of Pune such as Baner, Aundh, Dasar, Bavdhan, Khadki, Deccan Gymkhana, Gokhale Nagar, Shivajinagar, Sunarwadi, Warje, Kothrud, Bhugaon, Shivane etc,. The area has the famous Pashan Lake, which has been built artificially from a small river – the Ramnadi, which flow in Bavdhan. It is strategically located off the Mumbai-Bangalore NH 48, by passing Pune City. Pashan road serves as the main approach road for the Mumbai-Pune Expressway. It is mainly a residential suburb of Pune and large portions are occupied by various governmental and educational educational institutions


    Pashan is well connected to Baner, Aundh, Bavdhan, University Square, Sus village via excellent roads. It enjoys excellent connectivity to Pune International Airport which is located at a distance of 21.3 km via Lohegaon Road. Khadki, Shivajinagar, Pune Junction, and Dapodi are its nearby railway stations. However, Shivajinagar is the nearest railway station to Pashan, located about 6 km via NDA Pashan Road. Sutarwadi, Abhinav College and Pashan village are the major stops for PMPML and Rainbow BRTS buses that cater to passengers. Direct buses are available from these stops to Deccan Gymkhana,
